The farmers' struggle to reclaim communal land rights in Gunung Anten Village, Lebak Regency, Banten Province, was primarily fueled by the agrarian crisis experienced by the community, which experienced socio-economic inequality, including inequality in land ownership. Concurrently, in 1985, the government granted a 1.100-hectare rubber plantation concession in the form of a Land Use Right (Hak Guna).
