KNTI Holds Traditional Fishermen Coastal Conservation Camp in Indramayu

The Indonesian Traditional Fishermen's Union (KNTI) held a Coastal Conservation Camp at the Karangsong Mangrove Ecotourism Park in Indramayu. This event aimed to raise awareness of coastal conservation and strengthen fishermen's participation in marine resource management. Fishermen from various regions, students, and NGO partners participated in the event. The camp included discussions, mapping of coastal issues, and strategies for strengthening traditional fishermen's rights. Activities also included beach cleanups, mangrove planting, and community education on the importance of protecting coastal areas.

"Preserving coastal environments, especially mangrove areas, is crucial for the sustainability of traditional fishermen and Indonesian coastal communities in general." – Dani Setiawan, Chairman of KNTI.
