RADARBULELENG.JAWAPOS.com – To preserve and pass on Bali Aga cultural values, the Pedawa Traditional Village in Buleleng Regency, Bali, has established a traditional school for the younger generation. This program, conducted outside the formal curriculum and facilitated by traditional and religious leaders, includes courses in ancient Balinese language, traditional ceremonies, herbal knowledge, and organic farming techniques typical of the indigenous community. This initiative also responds to concerns about modernization eroding local cultural identity. This traditional school has received support from the community and village youth, who are beginning to feel a sense of identity loss.
“We want our children to know their identity, not only from public schools but from their cultural roots.” – Bendesa Adat Pedawa
