Nusantara Fund, new hope for farmers in Ibun Village
Mongabay – Since the end of 2022, the Sauyunan Social Forestry Business Group (KUPS), Bukit Rakutak, Ibun Village, which is a subsidiary of KTH Mulya Tani, has received assistance from the Nusantara Fund scheme. The scheme was initiated by Walhi, the Agrarian Reform Consortium (KPA) and the Indigenous Peoples Alliance of the Archipelago (AMAN) provides community-based economic empowerment assistance facilities that manage forests.
This direct fund also applies the principles of transparency, gender equity, diversity and equality.
In collaboration with the Indonesian Social Forestry Management Association, Walhi assisted KTH Mulya Tani to access this fund in coffee management. Now, they have built a coffee production house about 1-2 km from their plantation.
Their territory also borders directly with the Kamojang Geothermal Power Plant. Even to enter the garden, the community needs to request a portal permit with the Bumi Kamojang Geothermal Power Plant.
