RADARISTANA.COM – The Indigenous Community in Pangku Village, Ampibabo District, Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi, built a traditional school as a means of non-formal education based on natural knowledge.

Chairman of PD AMAN Hasan Lemba, Head of Parigi Moutong Regency, explained that the traditional school does not use a formal curriculum like public schools, but rather provides education based on agricultural and plantation practices. The school aims to educate Indigenous communities, particularly in agricultural cultivation skills.

Hasan stated that this school is part of an effort to educate the indigenous community. He also emphasized the importance of the Parigi Moutong Regency Education and Culture Office's attention to the existence of this traditional school. He believes this type of traditional education deserves support because it is relevant to the needs of the community in the region.

The traditional school management plans to soon report the school to the relevant agencies for registration as a non-formal educational institution. The education provided will emphasize not only skills but also the preservation and preservation of local knowledge passed down through generations among the Pangku Village Indigenous Community.

"In the near future, the management of the traditional education school in Pangku village will immediately report to the relevant agency to be registered as a non-formal school to educate indigenous people in the field of agricultural cultivation skills." — Hasan Lemba, Chairman of PD AMAN  Parigi Moutong.
