The Indonesian Traditional Fishermen's Union (KNTI) is a fishermen's organization that focuses on empowering traditional fishermen throughout Indonesia. They aim to improve their welfare through the preservation of coastal ecosystems, especially mangroves, and the development of sustainable environmental-based businesses. Coastal ecosystem damage caused by climate change and over-exploitation, as well as high dependence on the fisheries sector that is vulnerable to weather changes, are often faced by them. To overcome this problem, KNTI organizes a "Coastal Conservation Camp" as an effort to increase their capacity in managing mangroves sustainably and developing mangrove-based businesses.

During the camp held at Karangsong Edupark, Indramayu, participants were trained in various topics, ranging from mangrove conservation to mangrove-based product management techniques for marketing. In addition to training, participants also received online mentoring sessions to help them apply the knowledge gained in managing their respective coastal areas. This activity also aims to encourage diversification of fishermen's businesses by processing mangroves into products with economic value, which can then be marketed through e-commerce.

A total of 30 participants from 11 Regional Management Boards (DPD) of KNTI participated in the mangrove conservation training, increasing their understanding of sustainable coastal ecosystem management and providing practical skills in processing mangroves into products with economic value. In addition, this activity also succeeded in encouraging the formation of mangrove-based business groups, which already have e-commerce accounts to market their processed products. During the online mentoring sessions conducted twice, participants were trained in product marketing and business management, which in the future will improve the welfare of KNTI members and open up new economic opportunities for coastal communities.
