The Sido Makmur Farmers Group is part of the Jambi Farmers Association (PPJ), a people's organization that focuses on restoring land rights after being victims of land grabbing since 2004. After going through a reclaiming process since 2018, this community has succeeded in regaining control of part of the land and then took the initiative to make it a collective land for local potential-based economic development. Through the activity "Utilizing Collective Land for Local Potential-Based Economic Development", they build economic sovereignty while strengthening organizational solidarity.

The activities were carried out in a mutual cooperation manner with an intervention area of 7.000 hectares. The activities began with a technical group meeting, followed by land clearing and independent construction of pond huts. Then, members bought and planted fruit seeds sent from Lampung, and started fish farming after two months of pond preparation. After the fish pond was ready and went through the maturation period, the fish seeds were successfully spread and were cultivated in the maintenance phase.

The collective land of the Sido Makmur Farmers Group covering 2 hectares is now being maximized for fruit plantations and fish farming as a milestone for the organization's sovereign and sustainable economic model. In activities, all processes are carried out cooperatively so as to foster solidarity among members. In addition to being an economic space and a vehicle for practicing solidarity, the harvest can be purchased by the surrounding community at affordable prices. Marketing of the results from the gardens and ponds is planned to be marketed collectively, the profits obtained are prioritized for the construction of public facilities.
