Bariri Village, Central Sulawesi, is an area with very rich natural conditions. Through a potential survey, it was found that Bariri Village has potential for plantation commodities, agriculture, and non-timber forest products. The people of Bariri Village also mostly work as farmers or plantation owners. However, this natural wealth has not been managed optimally. The people of Bariri Village still often sell their harvests as is and the agricultural and plantation management system still uses chemical fertilizers.

The Green Livelihood Group of Bariri Village utilized the Nusantara Fund Direct Funding to improve their members’ understanding and skills related to sustainable agricultural management systems, coffee processing, and marketing management. Several forms of training were conducted. The first training was conducted to improve the understanding of the Green Livelihood Group members of Bariri Village regarding sustainable coffee processing. The members were trained to learn environmentally friendly cultivation techniques, from natural fertilization methods to pest control without harmful chemicals.

They are also trained in coffee processing such as fermentation techniques, roasting, and coffee packaging. So that their coffee is not only sold as raw beans, but also finished products with higher selling value. The second training is related to improving organizational management. In this training, members gain new knowledge related to organizational cash management, budgeting, and business planning. The third training is to improve members' understanding in building a distribution network. In addition to training, Nusantara Fund Direct Funding is also used to build coffee processing infrastructure, such as drying houses.

There are several changes that can be seen after the implementation of training and procurement of infrastructure and coffee processing equipment. The first change can be found in coffee processing. The Green Livelihood Group of Bariri Village was previously accustomed to selling only raw coffee beans. Now, they can process coffee to the roasting stage, because both the knowledge and organizational infrastructure are adequate. However, there are still obstacles that need to be solved, especially related to maintaining product quality throughout distribution from the village to the market, considering the time required will be long due to limited access to transportation and electricity in Bariri Village.

Likewise, regarding the understanding of organizational management, there has been a significant increase in that area. That they are now starting to understand the management of organizational cash, the preparation of business plans, to budget allocation. Finally, there has been an increase in the understanding and skills of community members regarding the development of distribution networks and market access. The matter of the market is very important for the sustainability of production and the existence of the community.

The benefits of implementing the training can be felt directly by 24 members who participated in the training. However, with an area of 50 hectares of land intervened and the potential for organizational development, the benefits can reach at least 500 people in Bariri Village.
