In Pangandaran, West Java, the Bangun Karya and Kampung Perjuangan communities continue to strengthen collective land management, which has been part of the community's struggle for decades. Bangun Karya, with approximately 300 member families, has been fighting for 800 hectares of land since 1999, while Kampung Perjuangan manages 12 hectares of collective land to support the organization's sustainability.
Through a collective land management initiative, communities are beginning to redevelop their area's potential by planting coconut seedlings and strengthening a shared economic system. A total of 770 coconut seedlings have been received, and 500 trees have been planted in the Bangun Karya community area (OTL), while 500 coconut seedlings have been planted in the Kampung Perjuangan community area (OTL) to rehabilitate the land and create a sustainable source of collective livelihoods.
